This is an update for FSX acceleration of the Alphasim F-80 Shooting Star. I have updated the flight dynamics, added two gauges to the panel, made the autopilot bigger, and changed the GPS. There is a working virtual cockpit. This is the whole aircraft.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the FS airplanes folder. Copy the effect to the effects folder. No need to overwrite anything already there. The gauges that are in the panel folder can be left there or copied to the gauges folder if you wish to use any of them with another aircraft.

See [reference speeds] section of the aircraft.cfg file for operating speeds.

Even though the aircraft is only set for internal fuel it has more than enough range. This may be due, in part, because the engine is set for 29920 rpm. I think the engines back then ran at about 10,000 rpm. I did not try to fix this because I don't think extra range is a bad thing.

I left out 3 paints and one model file (bombs) of the original aircraft to save size so more people would be able to easily download it.

Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them.
